Summary
The Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Engineering group based in Shanghai, China, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who will take ownership and support engineering design, evaluations, and analyses of technical products and services related to defined routine assignments in the specified discipline for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will interface with local Design Institute personnel on design and engineering matters related to your field of experience.
We are looking for the person who has experience interfacing with clients, manufacturers, contractors, other project personnel, and other management personnel.
The qualified candidate will work closely with other Westinghouse expatriate engineers and will be responsible for the review and approval of engineering calculations, drawings, and procedures or other engineering activities as directed by the expatriate engineer
 

Required Skills
Sufficient knowledge within engineering discipline to perform, with direct guidance, routine design, analysis, and evaluations of technical products and services and prepare appropriate supporting documentation.
Fluent in the English language in both oral and written
Engineer in Training (EIT) is desired
Registered Professional Engineer is desired
Three to five years of employment at a professional level
Three to five years of nuclear plant design experience is highly desired
Strong technical experience base with a broad base of experience, skills and knowledge to provide innovative and creative for our clients.
Functional in CADD and/or INVENTOR
Proactive approach to scope and cost control.
Ability and willingness to travel.
Ability to influence others without positional authority.
Plan and schedule own work within schedule and budget.
Identify and recommend improvements in processes on continuing basis and assist in implementation.
 

Experience Requirements:Typically 3 to 5 years
Travel Requirements:Candidate will be required to travel to nuclear plants construction sites.
Education Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
