Main Role:
Manage all the technical product activities to ensure products meet Gerry Weber technical standards and requirements. Guide and train factories on technical problem solving, educate and lead factories into technical competence. Form the technical interface between HQ technical functions, merchandizing and factories
Responsibilities:
-oversee all technical pre-production activities as relates to fit, construction, workmanship.
-recommend garment construction and engineering changes in the pre-production stage that will allow for more cost-effective manufacturing and will prevent costly quality problems in bulk production.
-review the technical specification details provided by HQ and resolve any issues/discrepancies with the relevant Technical Designers before passing to the supplier.
-approve proto samples together with merchandisers and size set samples, ensuring they match with the specifications of the approved counter sample and product specifications.
-build and maintain solid working relationships with all colleagues, communicating with them on all pre-production developments and audit findings.
-utilize all internal support systems and ensure that efficient and effective forms, reports and other administrative tools are being employed to control all pre-production and technical responsibilities.
Requirements:
-Have 6+ year working experience as woven technician for ladies high fashion garment, especially for lady suit.
-Have pattern knowledge of European fit and factory experience
-English and Mandarin speaking and writing must be requested
-Willing to travel
-Self-motivated hard working and mature to deal with garment maker
-Computer literate
