Department Trailer Systems BU Location Xiamen Reports To Managing Director, China (Expatriate) Global Strategic Sourcing VP (Based in Germany )ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned. In each of the duties listed below the employee is expected to perform to the highest standards of quality, to strive for maximum customer satisfaction, and to continually look for ways to improve the methods, practices and procedures of this position:Overall responsibility for supplier qualification and development, for both in-country manufacturing operations and Far East sourcing initiatives.Support contract adjustments, negotiations, cost reduction programs, and continuous improvement with suppliers.In country contact for the lead global commodity managers.Be responsible for the communications to the supplier: Quality standards ECN's PPAP Schedules Delivery issues good or bad SUPPLIER SCORE CARD; ADDRESSING HIS PERFORMANCE Serve the role of visiting other Far East supplier of the SAF HOLLAND Sourcing Teams. This would include first visit to a supplier to evaluate their capabilities.Assist with the risk management for sourced parts.Push/monitor the standardized process being developed by the two Sourcing Teams.Implement special projects defined by the Lead Commodity Managers: In country freight Potential freight consolidation activities with several vendors. Explore opportunities with other Lead Commodity Managers as identified.Support scheduling department at delivery backlogs situations and logistic issues.Approves (or removes) supplier status certification and maintains complete records of assessments / audits.Maintain complete security and confidentiality of all Company records.Perform other miscellaneous duties consistent with this position.Responsible for ensuring regular, timely, and accurate communication with all reports to improve morale and foster an information-sharing work environment.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES To be determined.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proficient in problem solving techniques, ASQ certification preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSOTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to use a personal computer, working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.Mandarin as primary language and English as secondary language; English level must be a minimum of CET 6.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as variance analysis, frequency distribution, sampling theory, and SPC to practical situations.REASONING ABILITY Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
