Key responsibilities:
To monitor and ensure vendor compliance in Asia with regard to the our client’s Code of Conduct, local legislation and International Core Labour Standards (United Nations ILO mandated standards)
Job requirement
·Sound understanding of risk management and supply chain/vendor management
·Extensive experience of manufacturing and production
·Essential extensive experience of ethical and social compliance audit with regional specialisation
·To be in advance of Lead Auditor standard and have knowledge of standards and codes e.g. SA8000 & WRAP Certification
·To have attended formal training and or achieved qualifications or certificates in compliance audit
·Proven communication skills with consideration that the role will involve advising SD?L Senior Management and regular liaison and negotiation on action plans with Factory Management and owners:
·Contacts in the compliance industry locally
·Verbal & written communication skills at a high level with experience of writing comprehensive reports for a high level audience
·Basic understanding of recycling and the environment and a desire to learn and develop further skills.
